Classes are devoted to the creativity and individuality of modern dance. With a special emphasis on improvisation, the individual student is at the forefront of the experience rather than spending time imitating the teacher. There are curtains on the mirrors to be used discriminately, because our dance has much more to do with how we feel than how we look. Classes promote:
the understanding of modern dance as an art form
self-expression through improvisation and choreography exercises
the development of freedom and control of movement
the growth of strength, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness
the ability to work with others and share diverse ideas
the development of a strong foundation for all other physical activities
